Signs And Symptoms Of Diabetes: Important Health Information
Two varieties of the disease exist. It is necessary to know and look for signs and symptoms of diabetes. The first type of diabetes (also known as "type one") is diagnosed before the completion of puberty. This disease is due to the body making insufficient insulin. Without that substance, sugar cannot be used for fuel.
The adult onset diabetes is known as type two diabetes, where in either the body has insufficient insulin or the cells in the body does not have sufficient receptors which aid insulin in its typical functions. Diabetes is a grim sickness; however with the numerous research going on this subject, diabetic persons can now live long and satisfying lives.
Symptoms for diabetes will show up if your body is not correctly processing glucose. Glucose is the result of your body breaking down the food that you eat. For glucose to be properly absorbed by your cells, the body must produce the right amount of insulin. If the body does not produce the correct amount of insulin your cells will be starved producing high glucose levels that can cause harm to your eyes, heart, and kidneys.
Some signs and symptoms of diabetes are not as obvious as you would think. Frequent urination is one sign of diabetes. Urine may have a fruity smell due to high sugar levels. Other signs and symptoms of diabetes include excessive thirst, weight loss, blurry vision, and fatigue.
When people are diagnosed with diabetes they should immediately go for treatment. It is seen that people suffering from type one and some people with type two diabetes have to inject themselves with insulin. They need to have a healthy diet on time. Exercise is another factor which helps to control sugar in the blood.
There is a good variety of diabetes foods available. People with diabetes need to be careful of how much sugar they eat as well as how many carbohydrates they eat. Carbohydrates are converted to sugars in the body. Today, new advances in artificial sweeteners make it possible for people with diabetes to enjoy desserts prepared with lower amounts of sugar.
Diabetes is defined as both Type One and Type Two. It is very important to be aware of the various signs and symptoms of diabetes. In Type One Diabetes, the body is not able to produce sufficient insulin used by the body to break down sugars. Symptoms for diabetes will show up if your body is not correctly processing glucose. If the body does not produce the correct amount of insulin your cells will be starved producing high glucose levels that can cause harm to your eyes, heart, and kidneys. There are a good variety of diabetes foods available.
