Cheap Teeth Whitening: An Attractive Smile At An Attractive Price
Perfect smiles with bright white teeth are greatly desired by most people. In fact, it seems that people with the best smiles get the best jobs, have the most friends, and are the most successful. Whether or not that is really true, having an attractive smile greatly boosts a person's self-esteem and confidence.
Is having a good smile worth spending thousands of dollars on a cosmetic dentist for a single one-hour treatment? How much is too much to spend for having nice white teeth with a good smile? Many people cannot afford to spend that much money to make their teeth whiter. Is teeth whitening for them an achievable goal?
It is indeed. Teeth can be whiter and brighter without incurring a huge expense. The least expensive way to achieve whiter teeth without paying through the nose is through the use of a toothbrush. One very effective brushing compound is baking soda. This costs less than one dollar, and lasts for many months if it is only used for this purpose. Brushing your teeth with baking soda can result in several shades of whitening after continued use.
Ultrabrite Advanced Whitening toothpaste is another low-cost way to brush your teeth and whiten them. A tube of this paste costs under a dollar. Moreover, it was listed by Consumer Reports as being one of the most effective way to whiten teeth by brushing.
Using regular strength (three percent) hydrogen peroxide also results in effective whitening. Using this solution once or twice daily to gargle helps to remove stains that discolor the surface of the tooth. Like the other previously discussed methods, this is also available for less than one dollar, and a single bottle will last for several months.
Using whitening strips is another way to whiten teeth and keep the cost down. In comparison to bleaching gels, these costs very little. They also achieve similar results over about the same time period. More expensive than the previously discussed methods, these run about $25 for a 14 day supply. Sometimes, coupons are available to make the price a little more attractive.
Other people prefer to use whitening gel that can be painted on one's teeth and worn overnight. The gel is offered in 8 ounce bottles, and typically costs less than $10. It is very effective provided the gel is permitted to dry thoroughly on the teeth.
Whether people opt for these or other savvy bargains, remember that cheap teeth whitening methods can sometimes be almost as effective as seeking immediate, though costly, results, from a cosmetic dentist. After you have done all your research, select the method that is right for you.
